As Phoenix Art Museum’s oldest support organization, the Phoenix Art Museum League celebrates over 60 years of events that raise funds to maintain the Museum’s permanent art collection and support educational programs promoting interaction with communities within the Phoenix Metro area. To fulfill our mission, the League holds three major fundraising events during the year benefiting the Museum:
Arts & Flowers® — “flowers interpreting art”: For over 9 years, Arizona floral designers have filled the Museum galleries with creative floral arrangements that interpret art from collections throughout the Museum. Over 4,000 people visit the Museum for this floral extravaganza, featuring an opening luncheon, programs, workshops and ending with a League-hosted “It’s A Wrap” reception recognizing the prize-winning floral designers.
In 2011, the League was honored to receive the Arizona State Florists Association’s 2011 Public Awareness Award “for continually promoting the beauty and creativity of fresh flowers each year through the Arts & Flowers event”.
Women In Art: Bi-monthly event featuring noteworthy Arizona women in art with presentations and offsite tours.
A Celebrity Affair: Every year League members and guests enjoy great shopping, delicious food and award-winning speakers at this Halloween-themed event held at the Museum.
Holiday Prelude Luncheon & Style Show: This collaborative event held at The Phoenician is sponsored by the Phoenix Art Museum League, Phoenix Theatre Guild and the Phoenix Youth Symphony. During its 27 year history, Prelude has annually hosted over 600 members and supporters to benefit all three organizations.
